who we are
Mosaic Church has sprung out of a merger between Bangor Community Church and Hope Church. We are evangelical and charismatic and are part of the Maximise family of churches. We believe that all of us have a part to play, however big or small that may be, and in Christ, all our personalities, brokenness, gifts and skills can be brought together to make a beautiful picture to glorify Him.

We are a lively, family church with a relaxed, informal and contemporary style, keen to reach the people of Bangor and around with the truth, life and hope of the Christian gospel. Our vision is to meet with God, reach others, make disciples and build family.

Students are an integral part of our family and we encourage them to share in the life of the church. During term time approximately half of the people present on a Sunday will be students and many play an active role in the ministry of the church. We believe that students are best equipped to reach their fellow students with the truth, life and hope of the gospel and actively encourage and support Bangor University Christian Union in their mission on campus.

We are part of the Maximise family of churches across North Wales and the North West of England. Maximise is led by Andy Barclay Watt, who is the Senior Leader at Life Church Manchester. Our togetherness consists of a broad vision for encouraging church planting, developing strong apostolic church bases, training up leadership and Ephesians 4 ministry teams within our churches and encouraging initiatives and mission that will impact and change society.

what we believe
We are Evangelical

We are members of the Evangelical Allicance and are committed to certain beliefs as set out in their statement of faith. These beliefs include the divine inspiration and supreme authority of the whole Bible as the foundation of all we believe.

We are Charismatic

We believe that the life of God comes to us through the Holy Spirit and we want to experience God's manifest presence as we worship and pray. We see the Holy Spirit's ministry and the gifts of the Spirit in the daily life of the believer and the church as a key to holiness, fruitfulness and effective mission.

meet the leadership team
Mosaic Church currently has a Leadership Team made up of 5 couples. Kevin leads the team and Kevin, Bryony, Neil and Emma operate as a Core Team. We have chosen our team based on the character and integrity which is so highly valued in Paul's instructions to Timothy, (1 Timothy 3:1-13) rather than on gifting alone. We are still a relatively new team, but we look forward to all that God has in store for us.
Kevin and Bryony moved to Bangor in 2002 and have been involved in church leadership for some years. Until recently Kevin was Chief Operating Officer at Bangor University and Bryony works as a Catering Manager at the University. They have two daughters at University, Emily & Charlotte
Kevin is passionate about teaching and discipleship and longs to see every member released to play their part in the Body of Christ. Good governance is a priority for him, which is a gift to the church and he heads up our team of Trustees. Bryony is part of the teaching team and is responsible for our midweek groups. Kevin leads the team and alongside Neil and Emma, they are part of the Core Leadership Team.
